The old building was a court for the Jewish. In 1866, the building was acquired by the Americans and was known as the “American School”.
Ms/ Batten was the first principal who took over the management of El Salam School from 1940 till 1958, followed by Mr./Foaud Michael Abd El Massieh El Mansouri from 1958 till 1976, then Ms/ Ellen Mona Sawerees from 1976 till 1996 and then Ms/ Zohour Refaat Bahman from 1996 till 2009.
